Examine the section under low power and identify the islets of Langerhans(light spherical areas) amongst the exocrine acini of the pancreas. Move to higher magnification and study one of the islets. It is difficult to differentiate the various types of cells in H & E preparation. Can you identify any blood capillaries amongst the endocrine cells?
