Survey your section under X10 objective. All the muscle fibres are cut in transverse section. Identify the connective tissue surrounding the individual muscle and fasciculi referred to as the endomysium and perimysium respectively. Note the presence of blood vessels and nerves in the connective tissue. Under X40, can you differentiate the blood cpaillaries in the endomysium? Verify that the nuclei of the muscle fibres are located at the periphery in the subsarcolemmal region. The wide intercellular space is an artifact, Probably due to the shrinkage of tissues during histological preparation.
