Eligibility Criteria:

The main eligibility criteria are:

  1. Successful results of MRCOG Part 2 Written section; candidates pending MRCOG results are eligible to apply.
  2. 4 years of accredited O&G training (For local Trainees (inclusive of Pre‐BST accreditation)/ Residents)
  3. Local applicants (all doctors practicing medicine in Singapore) must complete 3 In‐Hospital Clinical Training Modules (IHCTM) by 31 October 2016.

Application:

Please submit your application via Graduate Admission System (GDA2)by the closing date as stipulated above. Applications received through email will not be accepted. Late or incomplete applications will not be entertained. A step-by-step guide to applying online can be found here.

The following documents must be uploaded online into the GDA2 system by the closing date:

  • Pass letter for MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2 Written Examination (if taken)
    Applicants who are pending MRCOG Part 2 Written examination results to update DGMS upon receiving results
  • 2 recent passport-sized photographs
  • Testimonials from at least 2 relevant Heads of Department/ Supervisors
  • Certified true copy of following documents (Official English translations will be required for stamps or certificates sent that are not in English):
    • Basic medical degree certificate (MBBS)
    • Medical registration (must be valid by the time of sitting the examination (in English medium)
    • NRIC : for locals / Permanent Residents
    • Employment Pass and Passport : for foreigners (residing in Singapore)
    • Passport : for foreigners (residing outside Singapore)
  • For local applicants:
    • Pass letters for IHCTM (3 modules)
    • Pre-BST accreditation letter from JCST (where applicable)
    • Logbook

DGMS is not obliged to give any reasons for unsuccessful applications.

Withdrawal Policy:

Notice of withdrawal from the examination must be given in writing to the Division accompanied by the Tax Invoice (receipt) for fee paid. The examination fees, less application fee, will be refunded when notice of withdrawal is received by 30 September 2016. Those who withdraw after this date or who are absent from the examination will not receive any refund of the examination fees.

JOINT MASTER OF MEDICINE (OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY)/ MRCOG PART 2 ORAL ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION – SINGAPORE

Eligibility Criteria:

The main eligibility criteria are:

  1. Successful results of MRCOG Part 2 Written section; candidates pending MRCOG results are eligible to apply.
  2. 4 years of accredited O&G training (For local Trainees (inclusive of Pre‐BST accreditation)/ Residents)
  3. Local applicants (all doctors practicing medicine in Singapore) must complete 3 In‐Hospital Clinical Training Modules (IHCTM) by 30 April 2016.

Other respective rules/regulations of DGMS and RCOG governing the conduct of the M.Med (O&G)/ MRCOG will apply. All applicants practising in Singapore must apply for both M.Med(O&G) and MRCOG; there is no option to apply for either one of the two examinations. Admission into the M.Med(O&G)portion of the conjoint exam is subjected to advice by the local M.Med(O&G) committee. The SGD3,000 Supplementary fee (comprising SGD40 application fee and SGD2,960 administrative fee) would apply to the following applicants:

  • All applicants who are attempting the MRCOG examination only in Singapore
  • All applicants who have applied to the Joint Master of Medicine (Obstetrics & Gynaecology)/MRCOG examination but are admitted to only the MRCOG portion of the conjoint examination

  2. 4 years of accredited O&G training (For local Trainees (inclusive of Pre‐BST accreditation)/ Residents)
  3. Local applicants (all doctors practicing medicine in Singapore) must complete 3 In‐Hospital Clinical Training Modules (IHCTM) by 31 October 2015.
