  • 12 September 2017: Special Workshop on Amnion and Bone Allografts
  • 13 September 2017: Practical Tissue Bank Workshop

Description:

This distance learning course of 1 year self-study duration is targeted at those who have an interest or potential in working as a doctor or technologist in a tissue bank.

The diploma consists of 3 components:

  • Component 1: Online Distance Learning (January 2017 to August 2017)
  • Component 2: 2­-day Workshop in Singapore (12 & 13 September 2017)
  • Component 3: 1­-day Examination in Singapore (14 September 2017)

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Must have at least 5 GCE 'O' Level passes or equivalent, including English and Biology
2. Have an interest or potential in working as a doctor or technologist in a tissue bank

Application:

All interested applicants will need to create an account and submit an online application via the Online System for Course Applications (OSCA) by the stipulated closing date, 2359hrs (local time).

Submission of documentary evidence (e.g. transcript) of GCE 'O' Level Certificate showing at least 5 GCE 'O' Level passes or equivalent is compulsory. This documentary evidence should be attached in OSCA under “Upload Documents” -> “Any Other Supporting Documents”.

All applications and fees must be made online by the closing date as stipulated above. Late or incomplete applications will not be entertained. Applications received through email will not be accepted.

  • Fees are inclusive of GST and cover lecture notes
  • For non­-course participants who have previously attended the workshop and would like to enroll for the Diploma in Tissue Banking now, the full application fee and course fee would apply.
  • All fees are subject to changes without prior notice, and must be paid at the time of application

Withdrawal Policy:

Notice of withdrawal from the course must be given in writing to the Division accompanied by the Tax Invoice (receipt) for fee paid. The entire fee, less application fee, will be refunded when notice of withdrawal is received by 23 December 2016. Those who withdraw after the closing date or who are absent from the workshop and/or examination will not receive any refund of the fees paid.
