Microbiology Excellence in Education Fund
Objectives:
To give due recognition to staff who have contributed to teaching excellence in microbiology or immunology, adopted creative methods of instruction, developed new and exciting courses/ modules.
The incentives may be used for:
a. Payment of course fee and/or registration fee for staff to attend conferences/seminars/workshops that lead to improving the quality of microbiology or immunology teaching.
b. Purchase of books, publications or journals related to undergraduate microbiology or immunology education.
c. Purchase of educational materials that support undergraduate microbiology or immunology education.
d. Education initiatives approved by Head of Department.

Microbiology Research Excellence Fund
Objectives:
To develop research human capital and long-term research capabilities in the strategic fields of microbiology and immunology, with a particular focus on infectious diseases and disorders of the immune system.
To galvanize and coordinate multidisciplinary research effort (across departments, faculties and with the RIs) in microbiology and immunology, with a particular focus on infectious diseases and disorders of the immune system.
To help set research priorities and directions for high impact microbiology and immunology research, with a particular focus on infectious diseases and disorders of the immune system.
