- Pioneer in research in osteoporosis in Singapore
- First centre to establish normative bone mineral density (BMD) data for the Singapore population
- Collaboration with IAEA to establish local BMD data
- Only Asian site selected for a Phase III clinical trial on raloxifene for the prevention of post-menopausal osteoporosis
