Graduate Research Programmes
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is actively engaged in cutting edge research that spans from basic science to translational research and clinical applications of new technologies. We have established a number of on-going collaborations with local and overseas institutions and have won numerous research awards at both national and international level. The department is equipped with core facilities dedicated to providing the latest equipment and technology. With this commitment to continuing research, our surgeons and faculty are recognized both locally and regionally as pioneers in their areas of interest.
The department is dedicated to providing not only excellent patient care and ground breaking research but also outstanding education for our graduate students. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, as of 2nd April 2007, has 28 funded on-going research projects projects in the department.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Financial support in the form of scholarships is available for qualified candidates. To be eligible for research scholarships, applicants must have at least a second upper class Honours degree.
