Early Starter Club is a support group for preterm infants and their parents.  The group was started in 12 Feb 1994.  It is made up of volunteer parents, medical social workers, physiotherapist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, pharmacist, dietitian, nurses and doctors.  Preterm infants and their parents often face unique concerns and issues, both during hospitalization and after discharge.  Since 2002, the group is affiliated to Club Rainbow, Singapore, a non-government charitable organization.  The group organizes two meetings / workshops a year to address the unique concerns of parents of premature infants.  Other activities include ‘parent buddy’ for parents of newly admitted preterms and home visitation of newly discharged patients.  There is also a newsletter for the group.  The group’s activities are also posted on the website.
