The National University Hospital Turner Support Group was set up in 1997 for patients with Turner Syndrome and their families. The Children's Medical Centre at NUH has combined with the pharmaceutical company Serono Singapore Pte. Ltd. to co-organise biannual meetings and parties for the group. We hope to bring patients and families together to educate and increase awareness of the condition, and, more importantly, to get them acquainted with other families who have Turner children, so they find comfort in the fact that they are not alone. Both children and parents can voice and discuss concerns with health professionals and other families, and thus learn to cope better. |
