Aileen Wee graduated with MBBS from the University of Singapore. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and a Member of the Royal College of Pathologists, UK. She has been with the NUS since her graduation in 1975.

She has been tasked with coordinating the M2 curriculum as well as all undergraduate teaching matters in pathology. She was awarded the NUS Teaching Excellence Award, 1997/98.

Her research interests include:

• Gastrointestinal pathology

- Helicobacter pylori & gastroduodenal diseases
- Colorectal tumours

• Hepatobiliary pathology

- Fine needle aspiration biopsy of liver
- Hepatitis B infection
- Liver transplantation

She runs regular postgraduate slide sessions on hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal pathology.
