The
sexuality clinic offers treatment and evaluation of sexual
dissatisfaction and specific sexual dysfunctions experienced
by individuals and couples.
Therapeutic Approaches
The
treatment programme emphasizes the enhancement of the
couple relationship as well as the individual growth
of each partner. As far as possible, therapy involves
the couple, since when one partner experiences difficulties,
the other partner may influence, and be influenced by
the sexual disturbance. However, individual therapy is
also possible. Therapy encompasses interpersonal, behavioural,
cognitive and psychodynamic techniques integrated with
drug treatments. Collaborative management with urologists, andrologists, gynaecologists and endocrinologists
is available when indicated.
