LIAISON PSYCHIATRY
Welcome to the Division of Consultation-Liaison (CL) Psychiatry website!
We aim to provide clinical services, teaching and research in settings where psychiatry and the rest of medicine meet.
We provide consultations for patients requiring a multidisciplinary approach to assessment and treatment, as well as liaison with our colleagues in other medical and paramedical disciplines within NUH.
Examples of the type of cases we see include:
- Mood and anxiety disorders in the medically ill
- Deliberate self-harm
- Drug and alcohol withdrawal syndromes
- Capacity to give/refuse consent
- Organ transplant assessments
- Conversion and dissociative disorders
