  WELLNESS WORKSHOP
LIFE SKILLS FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL GROWTH
 
 

Started in January 2004, this workshop for psychological well-being is ongoing, and is conducted in a group format. The group is composed of regular participants, but new-comers are also welcome. The aim is to provide a supportive network for the patients, while encouraging them to improve their life skills.

Structure of the programme: Each session incorporates components of group interaction as well as acquisition of general life-skills. Topics would cover areas like enhancement of treatment compliance, improving social skills, building self-esteem, emotional regulation and making life-style changes.

Ideal participants
1Patients seen at the neuroscience clinic, faced with problems of anxiety, depression, anger or hostility, stress due to work or home, poor social and communication skills, and low self esteem. Patients wiho have graduated from other structured groups and who would benefit from long-term support are also welcome.

How to refer
The clinician may indicate on the referral form, and the psychologist would call the patient for an intake session.

Cost: S$15 per session.
Venue: Lecture Room, Department of Psychological Medicine
Time: 3rd Saturday of every month, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Co-facilitated by : The Multi-disciplinary Team of healthcare professionals from the Department of Psychological Medicine
