CD137 ligand induced hematopoiesis

We have shown that CD137 ligand induces proliferation of hematopoietic progenitor cells and differentiation towards myeloid cells. In follow up projects we will investigate whether CD137 ligand agonists can be used to augment hematopoietic progenitor cells, which could have considerable potential in tissue replacement. Further, we will investigate whether CD137 ligand agonists can be used to generate dendritic cells which are essential for several immunotherapeutic approaches.
