Tumourimmunotherapy

Many tumour patients develop an immune response against their tumours. Unfortunately, this immune response is often not sufficient for tumour eradication. Tumour cells develop and are being selected for their successful development of defense mechanisms against the host immune response.

We are aiming at identifying such defense mechanisms of tumours and will be generating and testing specific inhibitors targeting them. These inhibitors will be designed to disarm the tumour and to allow the immune system to eliminate it.
