The National University of Singapore invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Physiology.
The Apoptosis and Tumor Biology Programme focuses on studying the cross talk between effector components of the apoptosis pathway, the Bcl-2 family proteins, the role of reactive oxygen intermediates in the regulation of cellular response to apoptotic stimuli, the mechanism(s) of drug-induced tumor cell death, Ras/Rac signaling in tumor cells, and novel drug discovery using photo-oxidation. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience in one of the areas outlined above or a relevant area of cancer biology with strong background in signal transduction pathways and molecular biology, and a track record of extramurally funded independent research (for Associate Professor level appointment).
Assistant/Associate Professor level appointees will be expected to compete for independent research funding and are required to participate in undergraduate and/or graduate level teaching
Remuneration and level of appointment will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
